ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Jacob Opdahl of Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) and Cody McKnight of Central Baptist (Ark.) have been named American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. McKnight (track) and Opdahl (field) were selected based on their performance from April 1-7.
AMC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Cody McKnight, Central Baptist (Ark.)
So. | Greenbrier, Ark.
- Finished first in the 400-meter run at the Little Rock Open.
- Ran in a time of 47.68-seconds.
- Qualified for the NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships by hitting the NAIA “A-Standard.”
- This is his second-career AMC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award.
AMC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

- Finished first out of 33 competitors in the men’s javelin at the Central Methodist Invite.
- Threw the javelin a distance of 55.57-meters.
- Hit the NAIA “B-Standard” in the event and qualified for the NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
- This is his first-career AMC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award.
