The top 64 schools based on Team Ranking System points from throughout the season qualify for the ITC sectional field across four sectional sites to be held March 14 and 15.
The Flyers are one of 17 teams headed to Addison, where they have competed in two tournaments this year, placing seventh at the Storm Baker Challenge and ninth out of 57 teams at the Kegel/Illinois State Bowling Proprietors Association Midwest Collegiate Classic. The top four teams from each sectional will advance to ITC nationals that will be held from April 15-18 at Spectrum Lanes in Wyoming, Michigan.
It will be a difficult road to nationals for the Flyers, who enter as the No. 44 ranked team as some of the teams in the sectional include No. 2 Mount Mercy, No. 4 St. Francis, three-time ITC national finalist and NCAA top-ranked McKendree, who is the No. 9 seed, as well as NCAA nationally ranked schools Wisconsin Whitewater and Maryville. Points are awarded by place finished in tournaments throughout the season.
Competition begins at 8:30 a.m. on March 14 with 32 Baker games and continues at 7:45 on March 15 with 32 more Baker games.
