INDIANAPOLIS – Lewis’ women’s track and field team won its second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field title, it’s sixth in the last seven years and eighth overall this weekend at the University of Indianapolis. The Flyers got 24 scoring performances to overcome a 16.5-point deficit entering the day to win the title.
Lewis finished with 141 points in the meet defeating Southwest Baptist by 13 points and Indianapolis by 15.5 points. The Flyers had 30 scoring performances over the course of the weekend.

Lewis will find out on Wednesday how many athletes it will be sending to the national meet on March 13 and 14 in Birmingham, Ala.
