SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Trinity men’s basketball team competed in their final game of the fall season as they took on the Indiana University South Bend Titans. Although they outscored the Titans in the second half, the Trolls were unable to secure a win in Tuesday’s contest.
During the first five minutes, the Trolls had multiple turnovers and fouls, which allowed Indiana South Bend to take an early lead. After that, the Titans never let up. Heading into the locker room at the half, the Trolls were down 24-60. The Trolls made a valiant effort to come back in the second half as they outscored the Titans with 50 points. However, it wasn’t enough to secure a win resulting in a 74-105 loss for the Trolls.
Leading the offense for Trinity was freshman Terry Williams III. In his collegiate debut, Williams scored 19 points, shooting eight for 12 from the field. Freshman Justin Clark also contributed double-digit points with 13. On defense, senior Sterling Brown led the team with five rebounds while sophomore Erik Cohn had a team-high two steals.
Following this contest, the Trolls have an overall record of 1-3. The team will not have a game again until 2021, when they kick off the New Year against the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers. The game is scheduled for Jan. 2.
