JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – Lewis’ women’s golf team concluded its fall schedule with a 10th place finish at the Jekyll-O-Lantern Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at the Jekyll Island Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Ga. The Flyers finished the two round event with a team score of 641 (+65).
North Georgia won the team title with a score of 598 (+22) and Belmont Abbey’s Jenna Nagy was the individual medalist with an overall score of 141 (-3). Par for the course was 72 and the yardage was 6,043.
Kasey Kane (Texarkana, Tex./Texas) was the top finisher for Lewis posting a two-round score of 154 (79-75) to finish in a tie for 10th. Jackie Moreno (Arlington, Texas/) finished in a tie for 35th with a two-day score of 159 (79-80) while Sarah Breslin (Du Quoin, Ill./Pinckneyville) shot a score of 163 (81-82), Caiya Dewitt (Zeeland, Mich./) shot a 165 (82-83) and Morgan McNulty (Belvidere, Ill./) posted a score of 172 (85-87). Alyson Shuman (Palisade, Colo./Palisade), competing as an individual recorded a score of 173 (83-90).
The Flyers return to the course March 9-10 at the Christian Brother Buccaneer Spring Classic in Memphis, Tenn.
