ROMEOVILLE – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Thursday that Lewis University’s Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) and Oskar Lusti (Tallinn, Estonia/) have been selected as 2019 ITA Division II All-Americans for doubles.
The pair, who were both named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference Team, was ranked as high as sixth in the ITA rankings during the season and finished the campaign ranked eighth.
Braschinsky and Lusti went 15-2 overall, finishing their last ten matches 9-1, losing only to Ferris State’s Steward Sell and Nur Ramdani Iswan – who were ranked No. 41 in the country. The pair also defeated Indianapolis’ Matej Kostadinov and Dario Huber – who finished the season ranked No. 13 in the country.
“I am so proud and happy for them,” Lewis head men’s tennis coach Brett Bridel said. “They put in a lot of hard work for this.”
